On September 14, 2023, a tent collapsed behind the CINTAS building in Bedford Park. Design Collective by CINTAS employees were enjoying an appreciation luncheon when the tent flew into the air and then landed on several people. 26 people were transported to local hospitals including Advocate Health Christ Hospital – 5 in serious condition.
An unnamed employee of CINTAS remarked off camera that he saw the tent fly upwards as it was hit with a gust of wind and then fall back down on to employees injuring many. Ambulances and emergency vehicles for surrounding municipalities lined up to provide assistance for the victims of the tent collapse.
