Disparti Law Group is proud to announce Elisa Peña of Inter-American Magnet School in Chicago as the winner of the firm’s 2026 Teacher Appreciation Week Contest. Mrs. Peña was selected from a number of heartfelt nominations and will receive a $250 cash prize along with a Disparti Law Group swag package in recognition of her dedication to her students and community.
An 8th grade teacher at Inter-American Magnet School, Mrs. Peña was nominated by one of her two sons, both of whom are now pursuing careers in education after being inspired by their mother’s example. In the nomination, Mrs. Peña was recognized for the tremendous effort she puts into shaping the lives of young adolescents and for the positive impact she has made both inside and outside of the classroom.
“Whether it’s in or out of the classroom, Mrs. Peña is always looking out for her students and working to make the world a better place,” the nomination read. “It was her passion for making a difference in others’ lives that inspired both my brother and I to pursue careers in education.”
Disparti Law Group launched the Teacher Appreciation Week Contest to celebrate educators who go above and beyond for their students and communities. The firm received nominations highlighting the lasting impact teachers have on the lives of families across the Chicago area.
