The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is currently conducting an investigation that may result in the recall of 205,000 2011-2013 Ford Fiestas, according to an online report published on Monday, September 15.

The NHTSA initiated the investigation after receiving 61 complaints of doors failing to properly close or stay latched. Among the reports NHTSA received was an incident involving an 83-year old woman whose injury was the result of a door that bounced back, knocking her over after attempting to close it.

Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker advised 2011-2013 Ford Fiesta owners to contact their local dealers to resolve any door latching issues.
