GlaxoSmithKline has issued a voluntary recall of all of its Alli weight loss products in the U.S. and Puerto Rico following reports of tampering, the U.S. Finance Post reported on Friday, March 28. Reports of tampered Alli products came from the states of Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, New York, and Texas.
The pharmaceutical giant reminded consumers that authentic Alli capsules are colored turquoise blue and contain a dark-blue band and the text ’60 Orlistat.’ GSK added that genuine Alli bottles have an inner foil with words “SEALED for YOUR PROTECTION.”
