The U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service recently announced a recall of a blue cheese chicken dip product made by ECRS, LLC, due to mislabeling and an undeclared allergen.
The Hollywood, Fla., company is recalling more than 12,500 pounds of the dip because it contains anchovies, which are not included in the ingredients listed on the label, according to KTVI.
The recalled product comes in 8-ounce and 16-ounce containers and was distributed to stores and through Internet sales in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio between April and June.
So far there have been no reports of sickness, but anyone who may have purchased the dip needs to be aware of the unlabeled ingredient. For further information about the recall, consumers should contact ECRS, LLC.
If you have gotten sick from this product or any other mislabeled food item, you should think about talking to an attorney. Due to the negligence of the company, you could be entitled to money damages.
At the very least, your medical bills and other expenses like lost wages should be taken care of, and we will fight to make that happen.
